What are the common faults of air brake hoses and their solutions?

Air brake hoses are a vital component of the vehicle's brake system, and their performance directly affects the safety and stability of the vehicle. However, over time and changes in the use environment, air brake hoses may have some common faults. Understanding these faults and their solutions can help car owners maintain them in time and ensure driving safety.

1. Leakage
Fault manifestation: Insufficient air pressure in the air brake system causes the braking effect to weaken. The driver may feel that the brakes are sluggish.

Solution: First check the connection and surface of the hose to look for possible cracks or wear. Use soapy water to spray on the connection and observe whether there are bubbles. If a leak is found, replace the damaged hose or reconnect the pipe.

2. Hardening or embrittlement
Fault manifestation: Over time, the air brake hose may harden or embrittle due to exposure to sunlight, high temperature or chemicals.

Solution: Regularly check the appearance of the hose and look for signs of cracking or discoloration. If the hose is found to be hardened or embrittled, it is recommended to replace it with a new one in time to ensure the normal operation of the brake system.

3. Internal blockage

5. Temperature effects

Solution: Try to avoid long-term operation in extreme climate conditions. Check the hose regularly to ensure that the material is not affected by temperature. If you find deformation or loss of elasticity, you need to replace it in time.

6. Falling off or loosening
Failure symptoms: The hose connection may loosen due to vibration or aging, resulting in air leakage or poor connection.
